Pergasingan Hill

Sembalun's most iconic summit. Two hours of climbing rewarded with a panorama of the valley's patchwork fields and the ridges of Rinjani, with the option to camp at the top.

Sembalun Lawang

The trail gate sits at the edge of Sembalun Lawang village, on foot or by motorbike taxi from the village centre. The trail is about 2.8 km.

The first 45 minutes climb quite steeply. The savanna trail is open with no shade, bring enough water and sun protection.

A savanna summit facing Rinjani head on, a favourite for overnight camping while waiting for sunrise.

Enter through the Bukit Selong area and the Desa Beleq traditional houses. The trail is about 2.4 km.

A quiet savanna plain at 2,200 masl, one of the least crowded corners of Sembalun.

A summit above the distinctive Propok savanna, a long and relatively gentle trail through open grassland.

Crosses the Propok savanna in the TNGR area, starting from around 1,025 masl.
